Ideal vs. Nonideal Op Amps

From Class Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search
Ideal Nonideal
Infinite input impedance Input impedance of about 1M Ω for IC op amps; as much as 10 12Ω for op amps with field effect transistor
Infinite open-loop gain for the differential signal Open-loop gain typically between 104and 106
Zero output impedance Output impedance typically between 1 and 100 Ω
Infinite bandwidth Bandwidth typically limited by the designer to avoid oscillation

    • You probably should cite "Characteristics of ideal amplifiers" written by Greg. I don't know if you need to site it since his hasn't been published yet. Looks good. It's always nice to see symbols used if possible instead of words where appropriate. I'm not sure where my comments are to go, but I think this is ready for publication. Maybe delete these notes later when you publish it. Not sure how the pints get awarded if you do that or if I do that.
