There are two nice math/scripting programs for the mac:

Scilab
Octive

For Scilab: Full gooey for mac (windows and linux) with a compiled app ready to install. go to http://www.scilab.org/products/scilab/download This is a great app and nice interface, but the coding is different than MatLab and Octive.
